Recipes Restaurant

Recipes by Cafe Metro is a restaurant that serves classic Filipino dishes with a twist. We were here earlier to have dinner after processing our passports at Alabang Town Center. I already ate at this restaurant when we were at Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila because we attended the awards night.
  • Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila, 4th Level
  • Alabang Town Center, 2nd Level Corte de las Palmas

The prizes of the food are very affordable and good for two persons already. You can have different choices from Appetizers, Vegetables, Noodles, Soups, Chicken, Pork, Beef and even Seafood! They only have one dessert which is the Dessert of the Day and I guess that's surprising.

Fish Fillet in Escabeche Sauce

Bagoong Rice

General's Tofu

Laing

The food were very delectable. The Fish Fillet was crispy and the escabeche sauce was perfectly flavored. The Bagoong Rice was also good. You can really taste and smell the Bagoong flavor. I like food with coconut milk and Recipes' Laing was very flavorful and creamy. Lasty, the General's Tofu! The waiter said that it's a little spicy but it wasn't. Well I think that's good because I don't like spicy food. They turned a simple tofu into a gourmet dish. The sauce was very delicious. A combination of sweet and salty with a pinch of spiciness.

The presentation of their food are just simple and the serving looks little but believe me, it's enough. Only my sister and I ate these 3 dishes by the way yet we have 3 viands. The ambiance of the restaurant was very simple though. Like plain white and just lights. But anyway, the food was great so I guess that's fine.

I really love the dishes in the Recipes Restaurant and I will surely dine again with my family and/or friends. I am looking forward on trying different dishes that will surely satisfy my palate. I also want to try their all-time favorite Crispy Tilapia, Lechon Kawali and General's Chicken. My overall experience was great so I give this restaurant a 4 out of 5 stars.
