Sojubang - Korean Restaurant

Philippines has become an avid fan of Korean movies, series and music. People had been trying to adopt the Korean lifestyle every now and then. Due to the recent rise of many food establishments, Korean Restaurants has become in demand in the Philippines as well. The grilling of meat and wrapping it with different choices of side dishes has become very popular. 

Last Sunday, my sister and I tried this Korean Restaurant at Brgy. Almanza in Las Piñas City (before SM South Mall). There were so many people who were eating when we arrived. We approached the counter and we were fifth on the waiting list. 

Our time arrived and finally! We can start grilling because was so excited and starving at the same time. We were seated after clearing the table and the waiter asked for our orders. They have many platter and ala carte foods but we wanted to try the unlimited beef and pork and a pitcher of Iced Tea.

The Unlimited Samgyupsal costs 350 PHP per person which includes unlimited Korean side Dishes, Rice and Pork Belly.

The Unlimited Woo Samgyupsal costs 450 PHP per person which includes unlimited Korean side Dishes, Rice and Beef and Pork Belly.

The Store opens at 11:30 am to 8:00 pm 

This wasn't our first time to eat in a Korean Restaurant. But Sojubang is one of the Best. The food tastes good, the ambiance is nice, there wasn't too much smoke inside the place even though it's closed because of the exhaust per table. Also, it's affordable. My over-all experience was good and I got so full!

Due to its magnificent view and it's unique features, it has become popular with people taking pictures of themselves. My friend and I was intrigued to see the wonderful view of the place since we always see its picture on Facebook and Instagram all the time so we're like, why not visit the place? We didn't actually know how to go there so all we did was to ask and ask and ask questions from people and yeay! We finally arrived. We were stunned to see the beautiful architecture and colorful views. My eyes turned into a heart-eye emoji. It's a mall so for those people who are asking for entrance fee, chill out because it's free. 

 You can ride a Gondola but it has a fee and I think it's only available at night. Ain't that romantic?

We stopped at Chiara's to have some authentic Venician Taste! We had some cakes and they were really good tho.

Yexel's Museum at Manila Ocean Park

Yexel Sebastian started his toy collection when he was 7 years old by collecting small toys from fastfood outlets. Yexel’s aim for putting up his toy museum is to inspire the Filipino youth to follow their dreams.

Toy enthusiasts and children of all ages will surely enjoy a fabulous time with Amazing Stories of Yexel’s Museum by Manila Shows and Display Corporation, the newest tenant of Manila Ocean Park. There are 7 spaces featuring Yexel’s life-sized interpretations, educational exhibits on toy making, spiders, outer space and more. These toy collections are a testament to the fine Filipino craftsmanship and superb quality. A souvenir shop and activity area are also found inside the attraction. The Amazing Stories of Yexel’s Museum is located at the second level of Manila Ocean Park.

So last Sunday, we went to Yexel's Museum and with the help of Metrodeal, we bought our ticket for only P99 instead of P500.

Ilocos Sur

Ilocos Sur  is a province in the Philippines located in the Ilocos Region in Luzon.  Ilocos Sur is bordered by Ilocos Norte and Abra to the north, Mountain Province to the east, La Union and Benguet to the south and the South China Sea to the west.

Last Monday, we went to Ilocos Sur to have some sight seeing and a bonding together with my family and friends. We traveled for a total of 5 hours from Quezon City to La Union via SCTEX. We arrived at night so we stayed at one of the Bread and Breakfast at La Union.

After having a delicious Filipino Cuisine, we traveled another 1 hour to go to Ilocos Sur. When we arrived at the town proper, we were welcomed by many pasalubong stalls. 

We bought some local delicacies to try and eat while we are traveling. The famous Ilocos Cornick was really tasty and flavorful. I couldn't stop munching while we are in the car. After buying some snacks, we went to  Ilocos Sur Adventure Zone. The recently opened adventure center is the newest attraction this side of the province. It caters mostly to adrenaline junkies and adventure freaks with its climbing and rappelling walls, kayak center and of course, its 400-meter zip line.

The ride was short and fast but I enjoyed it. Even if it wasn't my first time to ride a Zipline but I still felt the fear of riding it like it's my first time. After having a thrilling ride, we drove another 30 mins to go to Vigan, Ilocos Sur. 

Vigan, officially the City of Vigan is a fourth income class component city and capital of Ilocos Sur. Vigan is nominated in being a part of the 7 Wonders CIties. It is famous because of the vintage and antique designs of the houses and different structures around the city.

It was lunch time when we arrived at Vigan and we had lunch at Cafe Leona. It is very famous in Vigan where they serve the authentic Ilocano food including Pinakbet and the Bagnet. We walked around the vintage street after lunch.

It was really amazing to see that they have preserved the old houses in Vigan. Although some have a modern touch, but you can still feel and experience the simplicity and peace that the people had before. 

Another 10 minute drive and we arrived at the Baluarte Zoo which is owned by former Ilocos Governor Chavit Singson. There are no entrance free needed to see the free-sanctuary for some of the animals that he have. 

My overall experience traveling Ilocos Sur was really great. The food were so good and the people are very welcoming and friendly (well what do you expect with Filipino Hospitality?) The places were nice and historical. I had fun with my family and friend here at Ilocos Sur. I will definitely recommend this to my other friends and maybe come back soon with them.
